This past year I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. For my senior recital, I decided to do something a little different. To me, the Haydn sonata I was learning sounded like the kind of music you might hear in an old, silent film. So I decided (because my life just wasn’t hectic enough) to enlist a few friends and create my own film with a story that reflected the music. The result was a slightly tongue-in-cheek, quirky retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. After a day of (incredibly fun) filming, I designed the poster and edited the different pieces of video together, timing it so I could perform live while the movie was playing at the recital.
Below is the recording from the recital itself. Enjoy!!
