I, personally, believe that Shakespeare’s tragedies tend to be miles funnier than his comedies lol.

I remember cracking up over Macbeth when we were reading it in high school. Our English teacher would select a few people to read the scenes out loud, as if we were performing the play ourselves.
There’s a scene earlier in the play, where a wounded captain is relaying news of the battle to King Duncan. At the end of the scene, Duncan addresses an attendant and says: ‘Go, get him surgeons.’
The kid who was reading the part of Duncan got through the whole scene just fine, and then delivered the last line as: ‘Go get him, surgeons!’
Awesome.
